Sulamot – Music for Social Change is an outreach program of the Israel Philharmonic
Orchestra.
The children come from the periphery of Israeli society, including: children from low
socio-economic backgrounds; children at risk, who have been removed from their
homes by court order due to domestic violence; children in special education;
impoverished youth from the Arab and Bedouin sectors; and boys and girls suffering
from visual impairments and blindness.
For the first time in their lives, these children are introduced to the world of music,
presented with a musical instrument of their own, and given professional musical
instruction. All free of charge.
Join the Sulamot Family and sponsor a child for a year, or an entire sector of children
in any field or area that you would prefer.
You can also assist with the purchase of musical instruments.
By supporting Sulamot – Music for Social Change, you empower Israel’s children and
give them the skills and tools to create a better future.
Tax-Deductible donations to Sulamot may be done through the Worldwide Friends
of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
